
Both Billy and Sue Ruiz have been lucky enough to live and enjoy entertaining in the true Westernlifestyle on the ranches of the Pacific Slope, as well as the Spanish culture of Santa Barbara. They are proud to use some of their family's recipes dating back to their arrival in California with the De Anza Ride. Over the years they have shared this lifestyle with family and friends, and now are very happy to share it everyone! Cowboy Flavor originated with Cowboy Caterin, which highlights authentic Santa Maria Style Ranch BBQ and California Simpatico, a romantic blend of the Spanish and Hacienda style foods of the great California Ranchos. Cowboy Flavor was chosen to cater for the USS Ronald Reagan, offering them a true Ranch Style BBQ experience.
Currently Billy and Sue host Cowboy Flavor, the hit television series on RFD TV, now in it's fourth season! In addition to the show, Cowboy Flavor offers DVD's and Cookbooks filled with a multitude of scrumptious recipes and outdoor cookin instruction. Our products features our famous BBQ Seasoning which instructs you to “put it on anything that doesn't eat you first!” and our newest creation Buckshot BBQ Sauce "a truly great American condiment." Prior to the TV series, Billy and Sue were featured on “Al Roker’s BBQ on the Road” show, on the Travel Channel's" Barbecue Paradise". Local and National publications include: Cowboys and Indians, Western Horseman, IM Cowgirl, Santa Barbara Food and Home Magazine, Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce BBQ book and video, and Santa Barbara's Independent and local news papers.
